Letter to the President

Dear Mr. President,

Hello Mr. President , I’m April Diane Fronda, a Grade 10 Student of Ilocos Sur National High School. It’s my pleasure to send you a letter to inform you and to express my thoughts about your administration.

It has been a months since you were elected as our country's president. If you genuinely and deeply want to unite our country, then you know deep in your heart what needs to happen. To truly bring this country together, you are aware of the ultimate sacrifice you must make.

I heard  that one of your father’s dying wish was to finally reconcile with the Filipino people. I truly wish it were true. And if it were true, now is the time to make your father proud. Please change our nation’s future. Make it right with your children, and every Filipino’s children. I do hope that you can change our future.

                                                                   Sincerely yours,

                                                                April Diane Fronda

At a Distance

The Covid-19 pandemic started in 2020 and this hardly affects in many ways, including our education. Due to the virus, students stopped attending school, but in order for us to continue learning, the concept of modular distant learning was developed. But this has brought us with a lot of obstacles and problems that probably have an impact on our potential.

Many difficulties were experienced during the modular distance learning. For instance, I had trouble understanding the lessons, even though the teachers virtually discussed them on Google Meeting. It just felt different since I might understand it better if it were explained to me in person. Those ten months of answering modules and Google meet-up, school have been tough, demanding, and incredibly interesting all at the same time. I won't say it was easy or enjoyable because it took a lot of effort. However, I was able to learn a lot because of my diligence and dedication.

The emotions I've experienced this distance learning are unlike anything I've experienced in the face to face classes. I was under a lot of stress because there were so many task and assignments to finish, and sometimes the tasks were not things I was good at. Reading the number of tasks for each topic makes me depressed and anxious, but despite the stress, I persisted. Even though I can’t understand some of the tasks, I overcame my anxieties and gave each one my all. Despite my struggles and difficult days, I know that I gave it my all, therefore I can claim that I did well.

However, with the support of my family and friends, I am able to overcome these obstacles. This modular distance learning has taught me a lot. I'll use the knowledge I've gained to achieve my goals in life. So always remember that we shouldn't pressure ourselves to much. Because making and remembering memories with family and friends is what life is all about.

Me Connais Mieux (Know Me Better)

I am April Diane Fronda but people call me “Diane” for short, I’m 15 years old turning 16 on April 10, and yes I’m an Aries baby. Also, I'm an ambivert, so I enjoy spending time alone as well as interacting with others, so it’s easy for me to get along with other people, which is how I made my friends. At the moment, I reside at Bayubay Norte, San Vicente, Ilocos Sur. I am the youngest child of Mr. Danny Fronda Sr. and Mrs. Celerina Fronda. I am currently a grade 10 student at Ilocos Sur National High School under the Special Mathematics Class Program.

I enjoy reading books on Wattpad and watching korean dramas, especially during the pandemic, these have become one of my go-to stress-reliever because they allow me to experience emotions that I don't often feel in reality and it also provide me with a stress-free environment where I can forget about all of my problems and struggles in life.

Someday I want to study law and work as a lawyer who aims for justice. And I believe that we all have a great future ahead so we should chase it. Even though life can be tough at times, never forget the reason why we began.
